The A-7 highway, the N-340 road and the Alicante-Murcia train are just a few of the ways to get to Elche, so don’t worry about the transportation because you will easily get there and back.

The Las Fallas Festival is one of the merriest you will ever see and it has become world-renowned for the enthusiasm and excitement surrounding this celebration. When the festival starts, the streets are closed to traffic and everyone goes out in the streets for some fun. The streets become packed with the so-called ‘’fallas’’, which are papier-mâché figures that satirize well known political figures and famous artists. Some of the greatest singers and bands in Spain take part in the festival. In 2010 the famous singer Antonio Orozco performed. Who knows which fantastic performer is going to grace the stage this year?
A short history
This festival began in the 16th century, when the legend says that the carpenters in Valencia decided to burn all the leftover wood. Now the festival is a double celebration, as it also honors San Jose, or Saint Joseph, who is the patron saint of all carpenters. Throughout the centuries, the festival has been celebrated with fireworks and Ayuntamiento Square has always been lit by the burning fallas at midnight. Every year, the inhabitants save some of the smaller fallas, which tourists can see in the Museo Fallero, which is now one of the biggest attractions in Valencia.
The festival has one more characteristic feature: the absolutely spectacular dresses. Almost 90,000 women and children dress up in fabulous attire and carry bouquets of red carnations and roses towards the Basilica of the Virgin to offer her the flowers. So, now you have the costumes, the music, the dancing, the colors and the fireworks, but what would a festival be without delicious food? If you decide to take part in the festival, be sure that you taste the delicious doughnuts made of pumpkin and dipped in chocolate. They are a one-of-a-kind savory experience!

Seville is a very popular tourist destination in Spain due to the fact that it is one of those cities where you never get bored. There are hundreds of places that make your vacations beautiful , also there are hundreds of buildings and monuments to see and a lot of entertaining opportunities especially designed to keep the tourists busy and interested in the city. It does not matter what type of person you are or what type of interests you have, as it is almost impossible not to find something interesting and attractive for you to do in Seville. For example, if you are a person who loves art and culture, it would be a good idea to go to Seville for a visit to its museums.
Museums in Seville
The Fine Art Museum is an excellent stop for any tourist who is in love with painting and sculpture. The location of the museum, inside the Merced Monastery, is a little bit unusual, but it is this location that gives it a special air. The rooms of the museums are arranged in a very interesting way; around the patios, and tourists have the chance to admire works belonging to the great Diego Velasquez, Valdes Leal or even El Greco. Another interesting museum is the Regional Archaeological Museum, where tourists can see collections of objects dating back to the time of the Romans; all the objects were found in the vicinity of the Italica city. However, the Roman objects are not the only thing that you can see inside this museum: there are also a few other collections on display, such as Tartessian treasures and dozens of beautiful Oriental pieces.
If you are still interested in the Roman period of Seville, go to Italica (located in the modern Santiponce) and visit the Archaeological Collection. Since you are there, you should also visit the remains of the big Roman Amphitheatre; the mosaics and the sculptures that managed to remain alive and the neighborhood built by Hadrian. The Cathedral Museum is located inside the Cathedral, actually in the halls of the chapels and those of the sacristy. Tourists can see outstanding gold work, jewelry and religious attire. The Contemporary Art Museum is located in the Santa Maria Cuevas Charterhouse and it has some splendid collections. Last but not least, visit the Bullfighting Museum if you want to understand this traditional art of the Spaniards.

Wonderful Monuments in Estepona
The Virgin of Remedies Church
Estepona is a very famous tourist destination in Spain because it is a city that has a little bit of everything to offer to its visitors. Sightseeing is a very important activity in the city, so all tourists make sure that they have enough time to visit at least some of the important monuments in the city. The Virgin of Remedies Church is a very popular monument. The church has a beautiful legend that tells the manner in which it appeared. This interesting legend says that it all started in 1400 when a crucifix was found in the middle of a pine forest. Those who found the crucifix decided to build a hermitage by using the pine trees in that forest. They also founded a hospice and the entire complex started to become famous between 1725 and 1766 as the San Francisco Convent. In 1889, the Remedies Church that was located in the Square of the Clock was moved to the Convent, so tourists visit it now under the name of Virgin of Remedies Church.
The Reloj Tower
The Reloj Tower is actually what remains of a church that Enrique IV ordered to be constructed in the 15th century. The origin of the tower is Moorish, as is the origin of so many other monuments in Spain, and it even had a period in which it functioned as a mosque. However, the monument that tourists visit today has a spectacular neoclassic dome which was added in the 18th century, so be sure to visit it. You are sure to be charmed by its beauty.

The Bullring is not one of the oldest monuments in Estepona, but it is one of the most beautiful. Built in 1972, it had as its architect the famous Juan de Mora. What is very original and interesting about the monument is that it has a very asymmetric design as its form is elliptical. The Bullring represents one of the two constructions of its type in the world. Only in Mexico will you find another bullring of similar construction.
The Hermitage
The Hermitage is not a very large construction, but it impresses with its simplicity. It is thought that the Hermitage was built around 1818, the year when many of the important monuments in Estepona were built. You should visit this city. It really deserves your attention and interest.
